On Tuesday, July 7th 2020, Sangnila together with the FWD Life Bandung 3 team held an online Concept Training Workshop aimed at exploring and applying Google’s features, as an online tool in facilitating and automating the daily activities of FWD insurance managers and agents.

Before discussing the workshop activities further, get to know a little more about Sangnila’s client first. FWD Life is a subsidiary of Pacific Century Group which is engaged in life and health insurance. FWD as one of the leading companies in the insurance sector has business networks in various countries, especially Hong Kong & Macao, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Japan and Malaysia. Their aim is to present a new and different insurance experience by offering convenience, interest and comfort through technological innovation.

The development and use of technology in this digitized age has significantly changed our daily activities. This has also been the case in many business activities, especially in the insurance industry. In the midst of the seemingly unending COVID-19 pandemic, insurance companies face challenges especially in creating a virtual approach to potential customers and processing their internal data. An agent must be able to accommodate and process any information from clients in order to work in this industry. However, a large amount of diverse information is still stored and processed traditionally.

The 2.5-hour long workshop directs agents to simplify workflows and reduce the risk of information loss with facilities provided by Google. File storage that can be done anywhere and real time access by managers or leaders is made possible by the Google Drive feature. Auto save and backup provide security for agents in storing confidential client files. Clients no longer need to worry about data loss.

The Concept Training Workshop was very well received by the agents because it opened up insights and provided new experiences, especially in data storage and processing. This might sound strange to millennials as they have basically used Google products for most of their lives, but for people aged 40 years and over technology such as this can be somewhat complex and intimidating. Sangnila is aware of this and so has compiled the workshop material to be useful for senior agents. Another great thing about the workshop is that junior (millennial) agents can also benefit from it. Through this workshop, Sangnila hopes that all Bandung 3 agents can work together in advancing technology to achieve success in the insurance field.
